CURSOR #8: ROUTINE

Your alarm goes off at 6:15 in the morning, and from that moment you are already following a schedule for the day. You have to get up by 6:20 in order to get ready to leave for work by 7:00 am. You have 35 minutes to get to work. Routine. It begins from the moment you wake up and lasts up until you lay down for bed that night, then restarts in the morning. Our daily routines become a cursor in our lives because we forget to include God. We live by lists, alarms, deadlines, agendas, and responsibilities, and lose God in the mix. We get distracted by the chaos that comes with following a schedule that we forget about that night we promised ourselves we would get up 25 minutes earlier to read the bible. I would say that this cursor is one of the more challenging ones to catch because we are so used to living by a day to day routine, that it becomes unrecognizable. It’s not bad to live by a routine, but it becomes a problem when God is not a part of it! We must include Him throughout our day in order to live out His plan for our lives! Do you live by a strict routine? Are you making time for God? Jot down some ways you could include more of God in your everyday schedule in today’s journaling section in your study binder! Challenge the priorities of the world and make time for yourself to spend more time with him daily!

Here are somethings to think about:

How did God speak to you through today's post?

What word stood out to you today?

How can you apply today's message to your life?
