Everyday, I am faced with new giants. New obstacles to face. New situations that seem to look right down at me. I am face-to-face with my fears, and it is pretty scary. Truth is, I let a lot intimidate me. I let a lot of things stir up fear and uncertainty within me heart. Can I even win this battle Lord? He responds back with, didn’t David beat Goliath? I relate so much to David, having to fight against something that is so much bigger than all that you are. I also long to be more like David- there is such an inner strength that he has, and great confidence in the Lord. David tells Goliath:

“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands,” 1 Samuel 17: 45-46.

We can all learn something from those words. That is how to enter into battle- with great confidence in the Lord and a fearlessness that comes from trusting fully in Him. We don’t need weapons when our biggest weapon of all is the Lord Jesus Christ. Those against us fight with sharp words and weapons, we must only fight with Christ confidence. So as you go about your day, facing your giants- don’t walk away in fear or fight with weapons, throw your confidence in its face. There is too much to learn from our giants. We learn to be brave and face our fears. We learn to find our inner David, and take out our sling shot. Don’t hold that inner strength back, don’t give in to your giants, don’t let them win. Have victory over whatever you are facing. Face every giant with God by your side, declare that you are going into battle with God & that you are not alone. Charge forward, confident in His capabilities. With God by your side, you will conquer your giants today. Let’s take the David approach & go into battle declaring the name of God!

Let’s take a victory through Christ!
