Psalm 34

I love two things about this verse. First thing, it was an answered prayer. It was the verse I needed to find. I poured out my heart into prayer last night and this morning opened up to this psalm- and it wasn't a coincidence. It was a God thing! God HEARD my cry. The righteous cry out and He hears them! He heard what was on my heart. And He was close. I've never felt closer to the Lord than when He is speaking to me through the words of His truth. He is CLOSE to the brokenhearted. And He SAVES those who's spirits are crushed. My spirit has been crushed under the weight of all my troubles and the weight of things that have been too heavy for me to handle, but then, which leads me to reason number two, comes deliverance. God DELIVERS us from those troubles. He PROTECTS our spirit and our flesh from being crushed. The Psalm says "He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken." WE WILL NOT BE BROKEN! God will not allow that! And reading that this morning came with such an overwhelming amount of peace. Not only does He answer our prayers but He provides a way out of all we are going through, even with one single verse. Thank you God for speaking to me through your word. Thank you God for being close to me when I am broken. You have DELIVERED me from all of the troubles I have poured out to you, Lord. You save me! Because of you, I will not be broken! The troubles I face will not break me down. Thank you, God!
