LOVE IS...

Love is…Patient.

Kind. It does not jealous or boastful.

It is not rude. Love keeps no records of wrong. It rejoices over truth. Love never gives up. It never loses faith. & it endures forever. This is the love that Christ has for us.

This is the love He gives us daily.

He is patient with us and our mistakes.

He is kind to us.

He keeps no records of our wrongs, He FORGIVES us.

He rejoices when we are truthful.

He never loses faith in us, He believes in us.

His love for us endures forever and ever.

This love is something to celebrate.

This is the love I want to share this month.

The wonderful love that comes from following Jesus.

Not only is it something to hold on to, but something to live out.

His love is an example to us all.

It demonstrates how we should love others in our lives, which is what this month is all about: love.

Celebrating the love between a husband and wife.

Children and their parents.

The love between friends.

The love between significant others.

The love between a family.

The love that only is able to exist in the world because of the greatest demonstration of love that Jesus showed by dying on the cross for us.

So often we shadow this great love with the idea of gift giving: boxes of chocolates, a dozen roses, fancy dates, and grand gestures.

And we cram all of that into one day, then go on with normalcy once the day is done.

Do you think God’s love works this way?

Do you think it is a one and done type of thing?

Luckily for us, it doesn’t.

Thankfully for us, it goes on and on.

He doesn’t just love us for a day and then call it quits.

No, remember? His love endures forever.

It continues on even past a specific day we use to celebrate love.

And all of the gifts and grand gestures are given to us daily through little things called blessings.

Who are we to deserve such love?

There are days I know I don’t even deserve roses from my husband, let alone the great love that the Lord has for us.

But despite our mistakes and sinful nature, He loves us anyway.

He loves us through and through and THAT is worth celebrating.

God is love!

And God’s love is the greatest gift.

One that is definitely worth sharing.

1 Corinthians 8:3 says “But whoever loves God is known by God.”

Let’s choose to LOVE God so that we can be known by Him.

Let’s choose to love Him so that we can be blessed by His gift of love.

Let’s love Him by choosing to acknowledge Him in all that we do.

Let’s love God by sharing our faith and this love to others.

Let’s love on others the way God loves on us, and not just this month, or on Valentine’s Day, but every day.

Join me & choose to love God.

Choose to let His love overflow onto others.

Choose to love God so that you can be fully known and romanced by God.

Share HIS love so that you can see the affect it has on everyone around you.

Love is not just a day, a gift, a gesture, a date, it is God.

It is His promises, His actions.

It is His purpose and His plan.

That is what love is.

Choose love.
