Dear Lord, Today I am thankful with how you equip me. Thank you for preparing me for battle against what comes my way. God, you give us the armor we need in order to resist the devil. My heart recognizes the strong need for this armor. And, this is my choice to wear it, today and everyday. I will wear your belt of truth, and the breastplate of your righteousness. I will stand peacefully in your shoes, and use the shield against the enemy. Your helmet of salvation my protection, and the sword is my weapon, Your word God! We face many strongholds God, and we know our strength is not enough to remove them. Your word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 that we must demolish them. We cannot do this with the weapons of the world God, but only with what you provided us with - Your word, our sword and constant prayer, our communication. The two together act as dynamite, giving us the ability to completely demolish the things that hold our thoughts captive. Help us ignite our dynamite! Help us use what You have given us so that we can allow our thoughts to be free from chains and only held captive by You! Our thoughts must be Yours, Lord. Our minds must surrender to You! Today, God I’m laying down the worldly weapons I cling to - they do me no good. I’m surrendering my desire to fight alone and inviting YOU to help bring a victory! I’m surrendering God, fully KNOWING that Your power will bring me through to the end of my battles. Because of you, God I am a survivor. I am a warrior. I am a fighter. You have equipped me & I am ready!
