Spent my morning reading about the different ways God’s Spirit speaks to us. If you have a minute I encourage you to read Acts 2:1-13 like I was encouraged to do so as well. Here you will see just how boldly the Holy Spirit settles upon the people. They begin to speak many different languages. The Holy Spirit came in the form of tongues of fire. Tongues ➡️ speech & communication of God & the Good News Fire ➡️ God’s purifying presence which burns away the undesirable elements of our lives and sets our hearts on fire to go an ignite other’s love for Jesus God made His presence known in that place & in their lives in such a spectacular way. Sometimes, we too wish God would reveal himself in such recognizable ways. And, believe it or not, He does, but His presence might come upon us in whispers as it did for Elijah in 1 Kings 19:10-13. Similarly to Acts 2, Elijah felt the winds, an earthquake and then saw the fires, but His presence was not there. His message came in a “gentle whisper”. I think God speaks to us in vastly different ways. Sometimes boldly, while other times in whispers. As Christians, it is our job not only to watch for His boldness, but to also wait patiently and LISTEN. LISTEN for how the Holy Spirit touches your heart and speaks into your life. Though it is quiet, it can move your life in a BOLD way. Pray & ask God to help you recognize how He is speaking to you today! How He speaks to you will ignite something NEW in your heart and allow you to spark something in other’s as well. Start a fire, specifically His FIRE in your life today! MKG
